TerrapinSTRONG Education (TSEd) introduces and infuses our institutional values across the university to strengthen our commitment to community, connection and inclusion. Every new student, faculty and staff member learns about our Terrapin history, traditions and values through the TerrapinSTRONG Onboarding. Colleges and schools supplement and continue this learning throughout the UMD experience by offering their own TerrapinSTRONG programming. TerrapinSTRONG Education offers additional educational initiatives, consultations and workshops, including the for-credit Words of Engagement Intergroup Dialogue Program (WEIDP). Throughout our offerings, TSEd invests in the capacity of our students, faculty, and staff to learn, teach, work, lead, and engage in dialogue across difference to create a more inclusive campus where every member feels we matter and belong.
