Many academic departments at the University of Maryland (UMD) offer need-based and merit-based scholarships using Scholarship Universe, UMD's scholarship matching platform. These scholarships may apply to incoming freshmen, transfer, or continuing UMD students. Most departments will only consider students who enroll for 12 credits per semester and have a grade point average of at least 3.0. For additional information regarding departmental scholarships, please contact the appropriate academic department.
