AIME298 Special Topics in Artificial Intelligence (1-4 Credits)

Thematic exploration of a topic in artificial intelligence (A.I.).

AIME399 Independent Study in Artificial Intelligence (1-3 Credits)

An individualized course of study under the guidance of a faculty mentor or affiliate faculty mentor within the Artificial Intelligence Interdisciplinary Institute at Maryland (AIM). Students are required to create their own course of study in consultation with their faculty advisor; content must not duplicate coursework already offered at the university.

Restriction: Permission of CMNS-Artificial Intelligence Interdisciplinary Institute at Maryland; and junior standing or higher.

Repeatable to: 6 credits if content differs.

AIME498 Interdisciplinary Topics in Artificial Intelligence (1-4 Credits)

Seminar course covering interdisciplinary topics in artificial intelligence.

Restriction: Permission of CMNS-Artificial Intelligence Interdisciplinary Institute at Maryland; and junior standing or higher.

Repeatable to: 9 credits if content differs.

AIME499 Independent Research in Artificial Intelligence (1-6 Credits)

Directed research under the supervision of a faculty member or affiliate faculty member in artificial intelligence. Students and supervising faculty member will agree to a research plan which must be approved by the Artificial Intelligence Interdisciplinary Institute at Maryland (AIM). As part of each research plan, students should produce a final paper on their research.

Restriction: Permission of CMNS-Artificial Intelligence Interdisciplinary Institute at Maryland; and junior standing or higher.
