Program Director: Minglang Zhou, Ph.D.
The 17-credit minor in Chinese Studies will provide students with Intermediate-Low-level Chinese linguistic competence and a solid understanding of linguistic and cultural diversity in China. Students adding this minor will need a strong background in Chinese at the level of CHIN 121 and 122, which are prerequisites for the required language sequence courses. This minor will be of particular relevance to students with a broad interest in learning the Chinese language, culture, and society. Students interested in taking this minor program should contact the Chinese Undergraduate Advisor in the Chinese Program.
